386 - Handira Blanket

One-of-a-kind, vintage handira blanket (also known as Moroccan wedding blanket). The handira blanket is handwoven, made of cotton and wool, and filled with hundreds of sequins. Made in Morocco’s Atlas Mountains by local Berber women, handira blankets are traditionally given to brides to bring blessings and good luck to the marriage. Typically the blankets take hundreds of hours, often weeks, to create. This one is extra special given its large size and beautiful colors with light pink and blue hues throughout the stunning detailing.
